Vicky Kaushal is gearing up for his next periodical drama Chhaavaa. The teaser has already created a lot of hype among the audience. The film is set to release on December 6. But the news is coming in that the makers are planning to reschedule the release date as they want to avoid a clash with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 which is also releasing on December 6.
Mid-day has reported that Vicky Kaushal’s historical epic, Chhaava, will not be arriving on December 6, thereby averting the box office clash with the much-anticipated Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule. Chhaava makers are likely to advance the release date. An official release date will be announced soon.
Recently, sharing the poster on X (formerly Twitter), the makers of Pushpa 2 wrote, “The wait gets shorter. 50 days to witness Pushpa Raj and his blockbuster rule Pushpa 2: The Rule will be A NEW ERA OF INDIAN CINEMA THE RULE IN CINEMAS on 6th DEC 2024. 50 Days To Pushpa 2 Storm.”
Backed by Mythri Movie Makers, Pushpa 2: The Rule also features Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh and Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari in pivotal roles. The film is a sequel to the 2021 Pushpa: The Rise. The second part will further explore Pushpa’s world of red sandalwood smuggling and explore the challenges he faces as he rises to power.
Coming to Chhaava, the teaser opens with the introduction of Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. He is seen fighting like a brave soldier. The actor has left everyone impressed with his look and action in the small clip. Ahead of the teaser release, Vicky took to social media to share the first poster of the film. The poster looks intense as he is seen fighting with hundreds of soldiers.
Vicky Kaushal portrayal of the Maratha emperor is both regal and convincing. While comparisons to Ranveer Singh’s role in Bajirao Mastani may arise, Vicky’s performance aims to stand out on its own. In Chhava, Vicky Kaushal takes on the challenging role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, while Rashmika Mandanna stars as his wife, Yesubai Bhonsale. Set to release on December 6, the film wrapped up filming earlier this year and is already generating a lot of buzz.
