According to the police, Suraj Gupta was a resident of Bairampur Pipri village of Katra Bazar police station area. He was returning home from his in-laws house in Tikwar. On the way, the DCM suddenly came at a high speed and hit their bike hard, due to which Suraj and Rohit fell on the road and got seriously injured. People nearby immediately took him to Colonelganj Community Health Centre, but Suraj died there.
Colonelganj police station in-charge Shridhar Pathak said that Suraj’s body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. Meanwhile, the treatment of injured Rohit is continuing in Gonda Medical College. Police have registered a case against the speeding DCM driver and have started investigating the matter.
