Then Rajeev Kumar Pandey alias Pappu, Manish Dixit, Vipin Bihari Dixit, Pankaj, Sunil Kumar, Ramchandra, Vinay Sharma and Lala Tiwari, sitting in ambush in the house of Ramchandra, a resident of the town, attacked the three brothers fatally due to old rivalry. .

The attackers, brandishing weapons in their hands, beat Vijay, Suresh and Ravindra with hockey sticks and pistol batons and then shot Vijay Kumar Dubey, resulting in his death. Munna Khan, who came here to save Vijay, was also beaten and injured by the attackers.

Regarding the matter, Suresh Kumar, brother of deceased Vijay Kumar Dubey, had filed a complaint in Chhibramau police station against murderer Manish Dixit and his father Vipin Vihari Dixit along with Rajiv Pandey, Pankaj, Sunil Kumar, Ramchandra Sharma, Vinay Sharma and Lala Tiwari. The 21-year-old case was being heard by Special Judge (bandit affected area) Inderjit Singh.
