On Saturday, the family members were adamant on registering a case of murder regarding the dead body of a laborer found in a pond in Thanhwa Mudiyari village of Kalwari police station area of Basti. The family members reached the postmortem house and registered a case of murder before taking the body for cremation.

On this information, police forces including ASP OP Singh and CO City Satyendra Bhushan Tripathi reached the spot. On the complaint of the deceased’s wife, the police registered a case of murder against seven people of the village. After this the family took the body for the last rites.
Let us know the whole matter… Jitendra Gautam, resident of Thanhwa Mudiyari village, who was a labourer, had left home at around 5 pm on Wednesday evening while talking on the phone. When he did not return home till late night, his family members tried to search for him nearby. On Thursday, family members lodged a missing report at Kalwari police station. On Friday morning, villagers who had gone to defecate near Kaindhawa pond, located west of the village, saw Jitendra’s body being lowered into the pond. When the body was taken out, a mobile phone was found in his right hand and slippers in his left hand.
Accusation of murder in illicit relations
The deceased’s wife, Chameli Devi, alleged murder, saying that her husband had a love affair with a village woman, due to which he was murdered. Forensic team also reached the spot and collected evidence. Police station head Bhanu Pratap Singh said that on the basis of the complaint of the deceased’s wife, a case of murder has been registered against seven people of the village including Shashikala, Suresh, Munirka, Pushpavati, Akhilesh, Raj Babbar and investigation has been started.
