There was a stir when the message came from the Ministry of Child Development on Diwali. CDO Himanshu Nagpal said- A complaint was received from Ramna village of Varanasi that 40 unmarried girls of Ramna village have been registered on the portal of pregnant women. After which he received a message from the Ministry of Child Development on Diwali. When we investigated this, we found out that Anganwadi workers distribute nutritious food among pregnant women and their children and upload everyone’s name on the portal.

In which, by going door-to-door, they are collecting the Aadhar numbers of boys and girls above 18 years of age, getting them to fill Form 6, adding their names to the voter list and getting their voter ID made. During this time, this problem arose due to the collection form and the matching of pregnant women and due to change of Aadhaar, names were filled on the portal. Which has been deleted by the Anganwadi worker.

A mistake has been made, investigation continues CDO said- A mistake has been made. In such a situation, we first checked whether the Anganwadi worker had distributed nutritious food to these unmarried girls. This has not come to light in the investigation. Despite this, investigation is being conducted by DPRO. Action will be taken according to the facts that emerge in the investigation.

Message sent to 40 unmarried girls on Diwali A message came on the mobile phones of 40 virgin girls of Ramna village located near the banks of Ganga in Varanasi, in which it was written – ‘Welcome to Nutrition Tracker. As a lactating mother, you can avail services like hot-cooked meals or ration, counselling, child health monitoring and breastfeeding through planetarium with the help of Anganwadi centre.

There was a commotion when the message came. Village head Ramana Aarti Patel said – When I complained about this matter, I asked the Anganwadi worker for information about this matter, but she misbehaved. After which I made a written complaint to the DM. On which cognizance has been taken and now the investigation of the Anganwadi worker is going on.
