Premier League side Nottingham Forest have started the ongoing season with some incredible showings as they stand third in the league table, only behind table-toppers Liverpool and holders Manchester City, at the end of ten rounds of fixtures.

The side from the English midlands have 19 points to their name with five wins, four draws and just a single loss in the current campaign and stand ahead of more fancied clubs such as London’s Chelsea and England.

Nottingham head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has overseen a remarkable demonstration of the side’s prowess in the early parts of the season and was awarded the Premier League Manager of the Month award for his exceptional showings in the month of October.

The side’s delight was doubled as striker Chris Wood, who has been on a scoring spree, picked up the Player of the Month award for his stellar performances during the same period as he led his side to multiple wins in dramatic fashion.

Nuno expressed that the club’s ambitions to improve as a whole instill a sense of responsibility across the board and the early results are evidence of the same.

“Starting from the owner, the ambition to grow and improve the club makes us all aware that we have to give our best,” the Portuguese manager said.

However, he added that his side haven’t achieved anything substantial yet and need to stay grounded to their roots to take the club in the right direction.

“Ambition is good. Demanding is good. But we cannot get away from our track, so I insist we have to remain humble and realise we haven’t achieved anything,” the 50-year-old added.

“I don’t just say that, it is the truth,” Nuno revealed.

Nuno, who also had credible performances with PL sides Wolves and Tottenham before joining Forest, also went on to add that his side need to rectify certain mistakes they tend to make in order to progress.

“We have to recognise there are a lot of mistakes being made that we have to correct, so the ambition is that,” Nuno opined.

“Keeping on track is what we have to do,” the Forest head coach added.
