ADCP South Manoj Pandey said that Suraj Vishwakarma (20), resident of Gujaini G-Block, sells vegetables in the Gujaini vegetable market. There was a dispute with friend Rahul Gupta alias Patur, resident of J-Block, Gujaini, over some issue on Saturday night.
The fight escalated so much that Suraj slapped Rahul alias Patur several times in the Gujaini vegetable market. Angered by this, Patur reached Gujaini tempo stand on his bike, surrounded him and started attacking with a knife. Suraj, soaked in blood, fell on the ground after being stabbed multiple times in the neck and stomach and the accused fled from the spot.

On information, police of Govind Nagar police station reached the spot to investigate. The injured were admitted to Halat with the help of ambulance. Where he is undergoing treatment in ICU. On the complaint of seriously injured Suraj’s father Lallu, Govind Nagar police has registered an FIR for attempt to murder against the accused Rahul Gupta alias Patur. Along with this, two police teams have been deployed to search for the accused.
