WWE SmackDown Results: Bayley Beats Candice LeRae, Motor City Machine Guns Thrash A-Town Down Under – News18

A look at the top moments and highlights from the latest episode of WWE SmackDown.
After what happened at Crown Jewel, the weekly episode of WWE SmackDown was predicted to be a bit chaotic. Jey Uso was the first to show up at the arena and called his brother Jimmy Uso, and cousin Roman Reigns onstage. The Uso brothers previously met Sami Zayn at the last RAW episode to set up the meeting.
Reigns, along with the Usos, was thrashed by the new Bloodline chief Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel in Riyadh. The victory makes Sikoa the undisputed Tribal Chief, a title which was earlier held by Reigns.
Zayn addressed the fans and revealed that he had no intention to hurt Reigns at the Premium Live Event. He attended the show in Saudi Arabia only to assist Jey. Zayn also wanted Reigns to apologise to his cousin Jey which the 39-year-old accepted.
The former Tribal Chief then called out Sikoa, who was perhaps not present at the arena. While all of these were going on, Bloodline’s Jacob Fatu appeared on the big screen. He confronted Reigns, saying that Sikoa wouldn’t work as per his schedule.
The opening segment ended abruptly after Zayn and Reigns headed backstage. The main event opened with a singles fight featuring Bayley and Candice LeRae. A women’s tag team match also took place where Jade Cargill joined hands with Bianca Belair to face the alliance of Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton.
The newly crowned men’s tag team champions – Motor City Machine Guns – made an appearance and clashed against A-Town Down Under’s Austin Theory and Grayson Waller, who were not happy with The Grayson Waller Show being canceled.
A look at the results of matches that unfolded on November 8’s episode of WWE SmackDown:
Bayley vs Candice LeRae
LeRae started things off on a promising note but Bayley came roaring back with a surprise shoulder tackle. The match never seemed one-sided as both women were keen to make a strong statement at SmackDown. Bayley, in the end, faked an injury and used the opportunity to pin down LeRae.
Pretty Deadly vs DIY
Randy Orton challenged Kevin Owens for a fight who took his own sweet time before obliging. The officials tried separating them but Owens ended up hitting piledriver which resulted in Orton being stretchered off. Cody Rhodes was seen checking on him followed by a break.
Upon resumption, Pretty Deadly and DIY were in the ring ready for their match. Tommaso Ciampa took over the control, getting the better of Kit Wilson and Elton Prince. Ciampa appeared to be in no mood to calm down as he single-handedly secured the win for DIY by using his iconic finisher on the opponents.
Cargill & Belair vs Nia & Tiffany
Candice LeRae interfered and attacked Belair with a top-rope move. Naomi came up to assist Belair, who soon got back on her feet and pinned Belair to win the women’s tag match.
Motor City Machine Guns vs A-Town Down Under
It was perhaps the most entertaining fight of the night, with all four men appearing in their top form. Motor City Machine Guns ultimately emerged victorious after crushing their opponents with the Skull and Bones tag finisher.
