A case of wrong metering by a light accountant without notice has come to light in Siddhaur of Barabanki. In this incident, Surendra Yadav, a resident of Basudhiya village of Kothi police station area, alleges that the light accountant Prem Prakash Mishra had arrested him without any information or notice.

Surendra Yadav has lodged a complaint in this regard with the District Magistrate. In the complaint, he said that according to the map of Meerapur Panchayat, the public road should be on Gata No. 130, but Halka Lekhpal forcibly made the path on his property by wrong measurement. Surendra Yadav complained about this matter to higher authorities several times, but no action has been taken till now.
Surendra Yadav also alleged that Gata number 112 of his property is registered in his name, yet an opposition party from the area has taken possession of it. Apart from this, the opposition has also constructed a house on Chakmarg Gata No. 700, and wrong metering has also been done on Gata No. 134. At the same time, Accountant Prem Prakash Mishra has termed the allegations against him as baseless. He further said that there has been no irregularity in the measurement.
