CO Varun Mishra said that Simbhaoli police was checking suspicious people and vehicles. Meanwhile, three suspicious youths came on a bike. The police signaled them to stop, but they started running away. When chased, the miscreants opened fire on the police. One miscreant was injured in retaliatory firing. While two escaped. The injured has been admitted to the hospital.
Cow slaughter took place 20 days ago
Injured criminal Naeem, who is a resident of Okhla, Delhi. He has been accused of cow slaughter before also. He had slaughtered cows three times in Simbhaoli about 20 days ago. The police have registered a case against him and started further action.
