In Sajeti police station area of Kanpur, miscreants looted a pickup laden with SNK Pan Masala late night, the value of which is said to be around Rs 7 lakh. Juhi, Kanpur resident Pawan Gupta, who is the director of SNK Pan Masala Company, told that his company’s pickup had gone out carrying goods for Hamirpur agency. Driver Deepak Gupta and cleaner Ankit Sharma were in the pickup.
As soon as the pickup reached near Baripal crossing of Sajeti, the miscreants surrounded the pickup with a WagonR car and stopped the vehicle by threatening the driver with a revolver.
The miscreants put the driver and the cleaner in the car and beat them up for about three hours. After this, they ran away by throwing them on the roadside near Kanthipur village of Sadh police station area. Through GPS, the pickup owner traced the pickup parked on the roadside near a petrol pump near Paras village, although the entire contents of the pickup were missing.
Police reached the spot after receiving the information and started investigation by taking possession of the pickup. Police station in-charge Brajmohan said that a case has been registered on the basis of the complaint and the accused are being searched with the help of the footage of CCTV cameras installed at the intersections.
