Bollywood stars Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgn recently appeared together at the mahurat ceremony of Tera Yaar Hoon Main, a film that holds special significance as it marks the debut of Aman, son of esteemed filmmaker Indra Kumar. Their presence was a heartfelt gesture of support for Indra Kumar, with whom they share a strong bond from working on his 1997 blockbuster comedy, Ishq. Starring Aamir, Ajay, Kajol, and Juhi Chawla, Ishq remains a classic in Bollywood’s comedy genre.
Reflecting on Ishq, Ajay remarked that it’s high time they work together on a similar film again. Aamir added, “We don’t meet often but whenever we do, I feel a lot of warmth and love from Ajay.” Aamir shared a memorable moment from the Ishq shoot, recalling an unexpected encounter with a chimpanzee that escalated during filming. “During filming a sequence in Ishq, a chimpanzee started to attack me,” Aamir said, prompting laughter.
Ajay humorously reminded Aamir of how he “provoked” the chimpanzee by spraying water on it, which led to Aamir running around, shouting, “Bachao Bachao!” Aamir acknowledged Ajay’s action skills, recalling how he saved him during the incident. “He saved me by pulling me out of a moving car,” Aamir shared, bringing a wave of amusement to the audience.
Ishq remains a cherished film in Bollywood, notable for its unique blend of comedy, romance, and thrilling action scenes that have left a lasting impact on fans. The film’s storyline, with its comedic twists and the on-screen chemistry between Aamir, Ajay, Kajol, and Juhi, turned it into a cult classic.
