A four-day Shyam Janmotsav is being celebrated under the auspices of Shri Ganpati Khatushyam Temple, New Mandi. The four-day festival started with a bang on Tuesday. Mehndi festival will be held in the temple courtyard on Wednesday. Nishan Yatra was started from Shiv Chowk in the morning

Devotees asked for their wishes To fulfill their wish, thousands of devotees holding signs in their hands from Shiv Chowk participated in the yatra with the slogan of Khatushyam. The journey extended from Shiv Chowk to Balaji Chowk, Madan Sweets, Nai Mandi, Paith Bazaar, Bindal Bazaar to Chamber School. During the Nishan Yatra, Baba Shri Khatu Shyam gave darshan to the devotees riding on the golden chariot. Various well-known personalities including State Minister Kapil Dev Aggarwal, former MLA Ashok Kansal received blessings of Baba.

A huge Ekadashi Nishan Yatra was taken out on the occasion of Khatu Shyam birth anniversary.

Congratulations celebration will be held tomorrow Shri Khatu Shyam Mandir Committee Officer Bhimsen Kansal told that there will be Mangala Aarti with Kirtan in the night. The birth celebration will conclude with Badhaai Utsav and Bhandara on the night of 13 November. Khatu Shyam’s court and chariot will be decorated with flowers from Kolkata. This time around three thousand Shyam devotees participated in the Nishan Yatra. Jaipur’s bhajan singer Uma Naini will be the main attraction of the birth anniversary. All the officials and workers associated with Shri Ganpati Khatu Shyam Mandir were present.
