Preparations are now underway to give a modern touch to the one-acre vacant commercial plot of Buddha Vihar in front of Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple on Deoria Bypass Road, Gorakhpur. For this project, a private firm of Noida has been hired in the style of Gardenia Glory Market.

GDA gave the responsibility of the project Gorakhpur Development Authority (GDA) has selected this firm through Request for Proposal (RFP). In this 4,050 square meter area behind Hotel Five Senses on Deoria Bypass Road, GDA will construct temporary kiosks in 752 square meters as per the building bylaws.
Besides, smart parking facility will be provided for 66 cars and the city’s first electric vehicle charging station will also be set up here. Separate toilet blocks for women and men and renovation and beautification of parks spread over 1,800 square meters on both sides will also be done.
Firm hired for management and operation Along with developing this vacant plot, a private firm has been hired for its management and operation. A total of five firms bid for this project, in which Legatus Counseling got the rights of this project by giving the highest bid. Now this firm will pay a premium of Rs 30 lakh to GDA and will get the option of payment in monthly installments during one year of construction.
The highest bid is Rs 7.55 lakh. GDA Vice-Chairman Anand Vardhan said that a private firm has been selected to develop Buddha Vihar commercial area as a park, smart parking and food zone. The firm has made the highest bid of Rs 7.55 lakh. The firm will also do renovation and beautification of these parks, which will give this area an urban and aesthetic look.
