U-girder weighing 160 metric tons was placed The work of placing the U-girder, approximately 28 meters long and weighing 160 metric tons, was started in the presence of senior officials of Kanpur Metro and the executing agency. These are cast in the casting yard and then placed at designated places in the corridor with the help of cranes.

5 metro stations will be built Under the second corridor (CSA to Barra-8), about 4.5 km long elevated section is being constructed from Agricultural University to Corridor-2 depot ramp and from double culvert ramp to Barra-8. A total of 5 stations in this section are Agricultural University, Vijay Nagar Square, Shastri Chowk, Barra-7 and Barra-8.

Metro will run till Central Station in January 2025 UPMRC Managing Director Sushil Kumar, while congratulating the team of metro engineers on this achievement, said that along with the balance section of Corridor-1 of Kanpur Metro, the civil construction work of Corridor-2 is also progressing rapidly. .

Soon a trial run of the train will be done beyond Motijheel till Kanpur Central, after which the metro will start running till Kanpur Central by January 2025.
