Two cars collided head-on near Aseni turn in Nagar Kotwali area of Barabanki. Six people traveling in both the cars were injured. Police reached the spot and took all the injured to the district hospital. Two injured were referred to Trauma Center Lucknow.

A person named Vijay Singh had gone to Bahraich with a booking from Lucknow. He was returning from there by car when a car coming from Lucknow collided with his car near Aseni turn. In this accident, Vijay Singh, Siddharth son of Pawan Kumar Singh resident of Palhari Tempo Stand Kotwali Nagar, Shubhang Yadav son of Subhash Chandra Yadav resident of Banki, Kotwali Nagar, Vinod son of Late. Prem Shankar, resident of Chowk Kali Mandir, Lucknow, Pawan Pandey, son of Prem Narayan Pandey, resident of Amoun Ayodhya and Mohammad Khalid, son of Sakir Ali, resident of Chowk Dhakwari Gate, Lucknow were injured.
The injured were taken to the district hospital City Kotwal Alok Mani Tripathi reached the spot and took the injured to the district hospital. Here all of them have been given first aid. Injured Vinod and Pawan Pandey have been referred to Trauma Center Lucknow in critical condition. After the accident, the police, after a lot of effort, got both the accident-stricken cars removed from the spot. After this the jam cleared and traffic became normal. Kotwal Alok Mani Tripathi said that all the injured were taken to the district hospital, from where two injured were referred to Lucknow Trauma Centre.
