Panch Pyaras led the Kirtan.
A grand city kirtan was organized in Muzaffarnagar on Wednesday on the occasion of Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Maharaj. Kirtan started from Gandhi Colony Gurdwara and proceeded through Gandhi Colony, Link Road, Bhopa Road, Ansari Road, Novelty Chowk, Roorkee Road.

In the Nagar Kirtan, the famous bands of the city, the Bag Piper Band from Punjab and the Dashmesh Band of Guru Gobind Singh Public School enthralled the audience with their spectacular performances. The beautiful tableaux and gatka party from Punjab displayed amazing stunts, which left the gathering mesmerized.

Various organizations, trade boards and politicians of the city welcomed the Nagar Kirtan at various places with flowers and garlands. Sardar Satnam Singh Hanspal told that the head of Shri Guru Singh Sabha honored the officers who came on this special occasion by wearing turbans.
Sangat from nearby villages arriving in trolleys were adding to the beauty of the kirtan in the city. The echo of the cheers of ‘Waheguru’ on the streets and the enthusiasm of the devotees was visible.
Panj Pyaras led the kirtan
In the Nagar Kirtan, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was seated in a palanquin, and was led by Panj Pyare. Sangat was moving ahead in front of the five beloveds, sweeping and sprinkling water. The devotees were presenting a wonderful sight while hailing Waheguru.
Prabhat Pheri of Gandhi Colony, Exhibition Camp and Prabhat Pheri of Ghas Mandi were involved in kirtan. The entire route from Roorkee Road to Shivji Murti, Jhansi Ki Rani Roadways Gurudwara was illuminated with lights.
Prasad stalls set up at various places, fireworks
There were different types of Prasad stalls installed on the way, where the devotees took the Prasad. Shri Guru Singh Sabha had also made special arrangements for fireworks. The devotees who came from far and wide and the Sangat who came in trolleys were given sweets and given a respectful farewell. Nagar Kirtan colored the entire city in the colors of faith and devotion.
