President of Photographers Association Uttar Pradesh, Dinesh Chandra Verma said that pre-wedding shoot, baby shoot, post wedding shoot are the means of livelihood for photographers. He said that we promote the tourist destination through our shoots. In such a situation, charging fees for shooting is wrong.

In Lucknow, LDA and Municipal Corporation have started charging fees at almost every park and tourist spot. Even Hussainabad Trust, parallel to the Municipal Corporation and LDA, has started charging Rs 2000 per day from photographers around Rumi Gate, Ghanta Ghar etc.

Additional charge of Rs 17 thousand

A charge of Rs 17 thousand has also been imposed in Janeshwar Mishra Park. The LDA office was also surrounded regarding this. During this period a memorandum was also given to the VC.

Deputy CM talked to VC

During this, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak talked to VC Prathamesh Kumar on phone. He asked to withdraw the fixed rate. Brajesh Pathak assured to solve the problems of the Photographers Association soon.

State spokesperson of the association, Deepak Kapoor, said that our organization has decided that if the rate of fee collection remains the same, then all the photographers of the state will completely boycott all the places controlled by government controlled departments and institutions like Hussainabad Trust.

Amar Singh, president of the Lucknow unit of the Photo Photographers Association, Uttar Pradesh, said that due to this all of us photographers will either lose their business or will be forced to shoot in other states or on private setups.
