Amazon Prime Video is all set to debut its first-ever talk show, The Rana Daggubati Show, hosted by the actor himself. This unscripted Telugu original was created and executive produced by Daggubati under his Spirit Media banner. The show will premiere on the platform on November 23.
The talk show promises a fun and unfiltered experience with each of the eight episodes featuring celebrity guests in candid conversations and exciting activities. The guest list includes Dulquer Salmaan, Naga Chaitanya, Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Sreeleela, Nani, SS Rajamouli and Ram Gopal Varma. New episodes will be released every Saturday.
“The Rana Daggubati Show presents a refreshing take on the celebrity talk show format, as Daggubati and his guests unmask their fun side and reveal insights into their personal lives that are unknown to their fans. The guests partake in exciting activities and passionate hobbies that go beyond the silver screen,” a statement from Prime Video read.
Daggubati talked about how the show will be different from other talk shows. He mentioned that most talk shows don’t let fans get to know the real side of celebrities.
“For too long, talk shows have just scratched the surface when it comes to getting to know our favourite celebs. But, we’re flipping the script!” he said, as per the press release.
“Our show is a backstage pass into the real lives of these stars—many of whom are my buddies and colleagues. Think chill vibes, no filters, and a whole lot of unexpected moments. It’s like hanging out with your favourite icons as they spill the tea, share wild stories, and dive headfirst into the stuff they love,” he added.
Talking about his other projects, Rana Daggubati is gearing up for his next exciting project, Kantha, where he will team up with Dulquer Salmaan. The film, directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, takes place in 1950s Madras, now Chennai. It will explore the evolving dynamics of human relationships and the changes happening in society during this key period in history. Along with Daggubati and Salmaan, Bhagyashree and Samuthirakani will also play key roles in the film.
The official launch of Kantha took place with a puja ceremony at Rama Naidu Studios in Hyderabad. It marked the beginning of a partnership between Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media and Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films.
The launch brought together the cast and crew and the glimpses from the ceremony were shared by both the production houses on social media.
The first look of the film is expected to be released soon. The film will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
