There is silence even today at the Sampoornanand Sports Complex in Varanasi which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi amidst the fanfare of drums. The players have not received entry yet. Even after almost 25 days, players are still deprived of facilities.

Ministers’ promises turned out to be hollow
Many ministers and MLAs of the BJP government, who are also residents of Kashi, had said that the people of Kashi will get benefits from this. His promises are still proving to be hollow.
SP delegation said, Kashi residents were cheated
A SP delegation had come to meet the Regional Sports Officer on Wednesday. During the talks, the supporters asked when will the players and morning walkers get entry into the stadium. We the people of Kashi are feeling cheated. The supporters demanded that no fee of any kind should be charged from the players and morning walkers coming to the stadium. If our demands are not considered, Samajwadi Party workers will be forced to protest.
