During the inspection, the Municipal Commissioner found that a large number of vehicles were facing difficulty in movement on Imambara Road. Told that a proposal has been given to the traffic department to ban any type of vehicles in the heritage zone. It is expected that trains will run from other routes soon.
Also saw the parking system
Officers have been instructed to improve all the arrangements here including the parking system, arrangements for boarding and walking of tourists. He said that along with further improving the systems, many shortcomings will be corrected as soon as possible. He has given instructions to create parking space for those coming to visit Imambara. Besides, by creating a vending zone, it will be shifted away from the heritage zone. For the help of tourists, helpline numbers of police and district administration will also be written in the heritage zone, so that in case of any inconvenience, tourists can call and ask for help.
Zonal reprimanded for encroachment
After the Heritage Zone, the Municipal Commissioner reached KGMU Road for inspection. Seeing encroachment on both sides of the road here, the Municipal Commissioner reprimanded the zonal officer. He directed that this entire route should be cleared of encroachment within two days.
The zonal officer clarified that after the encroachment is removed, shopkeepers come here again. It is the responsibility of the local police to ensure that encroachment does not happen again. In such a situation, the Zonal Police Officer has been asked to write a letter to the local police.
