The incident happened on Wednesday night. The police took the injured to the hospital. The seriously injured woman died on Thursday morning, while the condition of her husband remains critical.

Injured husband undergoing treatment in Medanta

According to the information received, Amit Singh lives with his family near New Police Line Kalli West. He told that father Ram Ashray Singh had gone out on the bike with mother Meena Singh at around 11.30 am to distribute the card of his sister’s wedding.

He had just reached a little ahead of Vrindavan Yojana police post when a speeding car coming from behind hit his bike hard. The parents suffered serious injuries due to the collision.

Police reached the spot after receiving information and admitted the injured to Medanta Hospital for treatment. The mother died during treatment on Thursday morning.

Shadow of mourning in the wedding house

It was told that Meena Singh’s younger daughter Neha is getting married on 9th December. Preparations for the wedding were going on at home, but as soon as the news of mother’s death was received, there was mourning in the house. His son Amit works in a private company in Pune. Has come to Lucknow for preparations for sister’s wedding. One daughter lives in Delhi.

Ram Asare retired from the post of traffic sub inspector.

Amit told that father Ram Ashray was a traffic sub inspector in Rae Bareli district. Retired on 31 March 2024. Father’s condition also remains critical.

The car driver was caught by the mob

PGI police station says that car driver Shailendra Kumar has been arrested. Inquiry is being done. The accused is a resident of Amethi district.
