On this occasion, Prof. of IIT Kharagpur. Anidya Sarkar delivered a lecture on ‘Isotopes, Archeology and Climate: 3000 Years of India’s History’. He discussed the ‘Meghalayan era’ and the effects of the sudden drought and cold that began it.
Pro. Talat Ahmed Prof. Sawhney’s legacy and his scientific contributions were appreciated. In this programme, prizes were distributed to the winners of the competitions.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Anupam Sharma, senior scientist of BSIP, in which geologists, botanists and other experts from Lucknow University also participated.
