Congressmen celebrated Children’s Day in Sonbhadra. The female District President along with the workers distributed toffees, biscuits and other gifts to the children of primary school Chhapka and remembered the country’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on his birthday.

Woman District President of Congress Usha Choubey said – Seeing the natural beauty of Sonbhadra, the country’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru had named Sonbhadra as Switzerland of India. Apart from this, a cement factory and then Rihand Dam were constructed in 1954. In this way, we cannot forget his role in the development of the country and the district. It is because of his visionary thinking that the Planning Commission in the country. Other plants including AIIMS, IIT Bhabha Atomic Research Center and ISRO were also set up.
