In Kaushambi, the District Magistrate reviewed the works related to beautification of Alwara Lake and revival of Sasur Khaderi River. In the meeting, the DM took information about the route of the river by watching the presentation prepared on Sasur Khaderi river through drone.

While directing the officers, the DM said – The Gram Sabha through which the river is passing. Mark that route and ensure immediate removal of illegal encroachment in the river area. Father-in-law has to work for the upliftment of Khaderi river with full energy and whole hearted resolve to completely revive it.

Instructed DFO to start planning for planting saplings along the banks of the river from now itself. Along with this, plan to ensure that the plants survive. The DM directed to motivate the village heads and get their cooperation.

Villagers should be told that revival of the river can yield huge benefits in agriculture, farming and irrigation etc. Instructed the officers to check the areas where there is less water in the river. Make sure to get the work started there. Along with accountant, consolidation officer and employment servants, visit the river twice a week and send reports to them.

During the review of Alwara Lake, the DM has given instructions to start the construction work of the drain as soon as possible to drain the increased water from the lake. The Chief Development Officer has been named the chairman of the formed team. Instructions have been given to prepare complete planning for the beautification of the lake as soon as possible and to ensure plantation as soon as the work of draining the increased water of the lake starts.

Chief Development Officer Ajit Kumar Srivastava, Deputy District Magistrate Manjhanpur Akash Singh, Divisional Forest Officer and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
