On Thursday night, a truck hit two bike-riding youths on the Prayagraj-Ayodhya National Highway in Sultanpur. Both the youth fell on the main road. A young man died on the spot. While the other died on reaching the hospital.

Mohit (25), son of Guru Charan, a resident of entire Subba Pandey of Jamo police station of Amethi, had gone with his friend Sunil Kumar (22) son of Jagdish Prasad from the same village on Thursday afternoon for an invitation to relatives. While returning to the village after the invitation, both of them had reached near Pratapganj market of Kotwali Dehat police station area on Ayodhya-Prayagraj highway when a truck coming from the other direction hit the bike.

The collision was so severe that both of them came on the road. There were fractures in many places in the body. Local people informed the police. Police reached the spot and took both of them to the Government Medical College in an ambulance. Here the doctor declared Mohit dead. Sunil also died during treatment. Kotwati rural in-charge Satyendra Singh said that the body has been sent for post-mortem. It is being told that the youth used to work while living in Gujarat. Came home just a few days ago.
