On Friday morning, a farmer riding a bicycle, who was going to water his fields, was hit by a speeding unknown vehicle in Pinjra village of Maurawan police station area of Unnao, due to which he died on the spot.

According to the information, 55-year-old Chhede Lal, resident of Pinjra village, had left home on a bicycle to water the crops standing in his fields. As soon as he reached the road, a speeding vehicle hit him.
The farmer was seriously injured in the accident and died on the spot. On getting information about the accident, the villagers immediately informed the family members and took the injured farmer to the nearest hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.
The deceased is survived by three daughters and two sons. Wife Taravati’s condition also worsened, and she became unconscious. After the incident, Maurawan police reached the spot and took possession of the body and sent it for postmortem. The police took Panchnama action with the consent of the family members and started investigating the case.
Inspector Maurawan, Chandrakant Singh said that necessary legal action has been taken on the information about the accident and investigation is being done.
