The 80s beauty and lead actress of the film Parasangada Gende Thimma, Rita Anchan has passed away at the age of 68. The actress starred opposite late actor Lonkesh in prominent roles. Her acting was highly praised by the audience, and she received widespread love. The songs became immensely popular at that time. Rita Anchan played the role of Marakani in Parasangada Gende Thimma. She passed away on Wednesday. She acted in several language industries including Hindi, Punjabi, and Gujarat industries gaining massive prominence. According to media reports, she was unwell for the past few years and was under medication. Several well-known people posted about the sad demise of the popular actress on social media platforms.
Posting about the demise of the director Raghuram D P wrote, “My dream of sharing her life story with all of you could not come true. Mrs Rita Anchan Radhakrishna, renowned for her role in Parasangada Gende Thimma, physically departed from us yesterday (13/11/2024). May God grant her family the strength to bear this grief”.
She appeared in numerous notable films including Kora Badan, Ladki Jawan Ho Gayi, Aap Se Pyar Hua, Sandarbha, and Farz Aur Pyar. However, her acting in the character of Marakani made her a popular name in the mouths of cinema lovers. Her role in the film earned her several accolades. The actress used to stay in Bangalore after getting married to Radhakrishna Manchigaiah. The couple had a son and a daughter.
