Action on informer’s information

Sangramgarh police received information from an informer that some vicious thieves were hiding on the banks of the canal. On this information, police and special team laid siege and arrested four accused. The arrested accused include Rajkumar Verma, Dinesh Saroj, Ajay Patel and Anuj Saroj.

During interrogation, the accused confessed to committing theft incidents in various police station areas of the district. He told that they had committed theft incidents in police station areas like Manikpur, Sangipur, Leelapur, Lalganj, Kunda, Maheshganj, and Sangramgarh. Police have also seized two motorcycles of the accused, which were used for theft and escape.

Other gang members will also be caught

The accused said that they are members of an organized gang and apart from them, Priyanshu Mishra and Shashiprakash Vishwakarma are also involved in the gang. The gang members used to sell the stolen goods and money among themselves and bought motorcycles with this money. Police have also recovered some stolen goods from the houses of the accused.

More than 20 thefts exposed

The arrested accused have revealed more than 20 theft incidents that took place in the district. These include many cases registered in Manikpur, Sangipur, Leelapur, Lalganj, Maheshganj and Sangramgarh police station areas. These include an attempt at theft in the District Cooperative Bank in Babaganj in the month of August and a theft in Bharatgarh. Police have said that the jewelery and cash recovered in these thefts are related to various cases.

LIC has registered a case against all the accused under theft and other crimes and arrested them. After their arrest, the police is now trying to catch other members of the gang.
