According to Surabhi Lakshmi, Mura has taught the audience that there are no shortcuts to success.

Suraj Venjaramoodu-starrer Mura, directed by Muhammed Musthafa, released at the cinema halls on November 8 and has received positive reviews since then. Many celebrities have also applauded this film, including actress Surabhi Lakshmi and actor-director Lijo Jose Pellissery. Sharing Mura’s poster on Facebook, Surabhi wrote in the caption that the newcomers Hridhu Haroon, Yedhu Krishna, Anujith Kannan and others have done a commendable job. She also lauded Maala Parvathi’s and Jobin Das’s acting prowess. According to Surabhi, Mura has taught the audience that there are no shortcuts to success. She also lauded the script, music, cinematography, editing and other aspects of this film.

Mura narrates the story of how downtrodden people are used by powerful people in society to perpetrate violence and other crimes. Earlier, this film was slated to release on October 18. The makers then decided to push the date to November 8. The reason behind this decision was not disclosed in the public domain.
The cast of Mura includes names like Kani Kusruti, Kannan Nayar, P L Thenappan, Vigneshwar Suresh, Krish Hassan, Siby Joseph and Alfred Jose. Riya Shibu has produced the film under the banner of HR Pictures while Rony Zachariah is the executive producer. For music, the makers roped in composer Christy Joby. Fazil Nazer has handled the cinematography while Chaman Chakko has performed the editing.
Sreenath Bhasi, Vijay Yesudas, Sithara Krishnakumar, Rhyko and Lal Krishna have vocalised the tracks. Anwar Ali and Vinayak Sasikumar have penned the lyrics.
About Mura’s director Muhammed Musthafa
Muhammed made his directorial debut with the 2020 film Kappela. Actors Anna Ben, Roshan Mathew and Sreenath Bhasi played important roles in this film. Kappela earned Anna and Musthafa the Best Actress Award and the Best Debut Director Award respectively at the 51st Kerala State Film Awards. Anees Nadodi, the film’s production designer was honoured at the 68th National Film Awards. Muhammed has also acted in a few films including the last one titled Pathonpatham Noottandu. Vinayan had written and directed this film. Headlined by Siju Wilson, this film is currently streaming on Amazon Prime. This film received mixed reviews from the audience.
