This is the condition of the district hospital Every day 3 to 4 thousand patients reach the district hospital for treatment. There are approximately 125 beds. Where patients are admitted and treated. These are fire extinguishers, but they have not been repaired or refilled for a long time. No one has this information. The work being done here by the executing agency of Lucknow has been left incomplete. Regarding the fire fighting arrangements in the district hospital, CMS Dr. Rajendra Arora says that there are fire fighting equipments present in the entire district hospital premises and all the wards, with which the fire can be controlled. Told that the entire responsibility of working of fire fighting arrangements in the district hospital rests with an executive organization of Lucknow. He has not been paid yet, due to which the fire related work of the district hospital remains incomplete. Information in this regard has been given to the headquarters several times.
There is no fire NOC for many years A fire fighting line has been laid in the district hospital, but it has not been connected to the water tank nor has it been connected to the fire pump. There are iron pipes hanging throughout the building, but fire extinguishers have not been jointed in them. The entire line remains just a show piece. Dr. Rajendra Arora admitted that the District Hospital of Agra does not have the No Objection Certificate from the Fire Department. The district hospital has been running without fire NOC for the last several years.
Defective fire hose in SN Medical College
This is the status of SN Medical College When we took stock of the condition of the fire hoses installed in the medical college premises, it was revealed that hose numbers 9, 12, 14, 25 installed in the college premises did not have pipes. Obviously these cannot be used in emergencies. As we proceeded from here, the doors of many houses were found uprooted. Some were completely broken. Even the fire hose outside the principal’s office is tilted to one side. Many hoses are completely damaged. There is no nozzle in the hose outside the pediatric department. There is a complete oxygen plant here, which has open wires nearby. Oxygen cylinders are kept. Apart from NICU, seriously ill children are also treated in other wards. Parents sit in the corridor for their children. Many expired fire extinguishers were kept at the fire pump station. They were being refilled and new slips were being inserted. Many fire extinguishers were locked, the date of which was not visible.
Arrangements are complete After the Jhansi fire, Dr. Prashant Gupta, Principal of SN Medical College, held a review meeting on Saturday. Dr. Gupta said that there are 6 lakh liter water tanks in the college campus. There are also pipes for fire hoses, which remain in the departments. Otherwise monkeys spoil it. Mock drills are conducted in every department every three months. Every department has fire NOC. There is additional provision of three lakh liters of water. The emergency exit in the pediatric department is right next to the NICU. Window ACs are being removed. Split ACs are being installed. There are 14 buildings, which have all the arrangements.
