In the case of murder of wife due to domestic dispute in Badaun, police have registered an FIR against the accused husband along with mother-in-law and father-in-law. After this action taken against the parents, search is on for the husband, but even on the third day no trace of him has been found.

Shikha alias Shweta (24) was murdered by her husband Amit, resident of village Majhara police station Moosajhaag, in Shivpuram locality of the city on Wednesday night. After murder by slitting the throat, the accused remained sitting near the dead body for five hours at night. Whereas after this, when the day broke, he slipped away from there.

Amit lived with his family in a rented house in Shivapuram. Here, the woman’s maternal family arrived from Gurgaon and alleged that the husband had committed the murder for dowry. Mother-in-law and father-in-law also used to harass their daughter regarding dowry.

Search for husband continues CO City Sanjeev Kumar said that an FIR has been written against the husband along with father-in-law Suresh and mother-in-law. The search for the accused is ongoing. Special efforts are being made to arrest the husband.
