On Saturday, there were no safe arrangements for protection from the fire in the Medical College Lalitpur, neither were any fire extinguishers installed anywhere including the men’s ward, the elderly ward, the emergency room. Although two fire extinguishers were found installed in SNCU, their expiry date was stated to be December 2024, but in the evening suddenly the medical college administration gave one fire extinguisher to each ward. In the evening, at the Emergency Trauma Center, an employee was seen installing the fire extinguisher on the wall.

A letter is being written to the government to increase the number of beds to 25. SNCU located in Lalitpur Medical College has only 12 beds, hence sometimes due to large number of children, two children have to be admitted on the same bed. Dr. Dwijendra Nath said that after talking to the officials, a letter will be sent to the government to increase the 12 bed SNCU to 25 beds.
Will give training to operate fire extinguishers A letter will be written to the fire department to provide training to doctors and other staff to operate fire extinguishers in the medical college. So that everyone can get training in operating fire fighting equipment.
The district administration and health department are on alert regarding the incident at Jhansi Medical College. On Saturday, Principal of Lalitpur Medical College, Dr. D Nath inspected the SNCU ward closely and took information from the staff.
