Green tax, also known as pollution or environmental tax, is an excise tax levied by the government on goods and commodities that contribute to pollution. It is an initiative to reduce the pollution levels of the country and promote the use of environment-friendly alternatives.

In any case, renewal of diesel vehicles after 15 years is already banned in the city. Now efforts are being made to use more and more CNG or electronic vehicles.

Green Gas Limited’s AGM P Gupta gave this suggestion in a meeting held in the Municipal Corporation. During this, Forest Department officer RFO said that 7 sites have been selected. Keeping air quality in mind, the Municipal Commissioner had called a meeting of all major departments.

The environment of the city was discussed under the leadership of Praveer Pandey, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. Officials of LDA, NHAI, Forest Department, City Transport, Traffic Police, RTO, UPPCB, CPCB, Food and Logistics Department, Green Gas Limited participated in this meeting. During this time, people praised the work of the Municipal Corporation. Environmental work was promoted.
