Shalini Passi has garnered significant limelight after her stint on the reality show – Fabulous Lives VS Bollywood Wives. The art collector, philanthropist, and wife of businessman Sanjay Passi has been one of the biggest highlights this season thanks to her exquisite art collection, sartorial sense, and sense of self. After the episode, she was all over the internet, and what grabbed the attention of viewers even more was Sanjay and Shalini Passi’s luxurious home.

Located in Golf Links, this architectural marvel is a blend of contemporary design and traditional Indian aesthetics. Their passion for art is evident in every corner of the house, from the grand living room to the intimate private spaces. Shalini Passi adorned her home into a gallery of sorts with an impressive art collection, featuring works by renowned Indian and international artists, doubling down on her love for art. The boomerang-shaped house with rich textures, intricate details, and vibrant colours creates a luxurious and inviting atmosphere. The lush lawns with impressive art installations add to the overall grandeur of the home.

Her entire Instagram account is full of pictures and videos showing the sculptures, paintings, installations, and even the furniture in the house, chosen carefully and lovingly by the socialite. Another eye-catching feature of the house is the 25-foot towering Buddha head by renowned artist Subodh Gupta that dominates the lawn.

During a chat with Larry’s List, Shalini described the Buddha sculpture as one of her top 3 most treasured artworks. The “Four Bindi panels” by Bharti Kher is among the ones, while her other treasure is Germination by SH Raza.

The internet personality revealed that she began collecting art more than 20 years ago. Now, her collection is a blend of Indian modern and contemporary works. In one room, one may find thick Persian carpets; another room may transport viewers to an English cottage, which she describes as an “eclectic but very personal collection.”

Shalini Passi told Larry’s List that her collection boasts Indian Modern and Contemporary works, an Ado Chale table, a pair of Dutch flower paintings, then from the 18th century: a Flemish cabinet, an Andre-Charles Boulle table, through to more contemporary pieces.

Shalini Passi’s house also features a curving corridor that has been the backdrop for many of her photographs. It is also the place where she has put some of her most valued artwork on display. The brass mirror frames lining the corridor, designed by Shalini herself, are also something worth noting.

Coming to her garden area, she has designed a bamboo grove, which serves as the backdrop for more photographs. The reason behind this is that Shalini believes that bamboo stands for ‘strength, flexibility, and health’—all the virtues that she hopes to embody.

During a conversation with the Architectural Digest, Shalini expressed, “I am an artist and have always had an eye for art, for meaningful objects… I was and always will be obsessive; if I see something beautiful or interesting, I make a note of it, and I research it endlessly. I go to scour antique shops and museums, look at fabric, feel the textures of stone, and seek the provenance, and beauty of an object. One should have an eye for refinement.”

As per Architectural Digest, the property is spread over 20,000 square feet, with 14 rooms. “People ask me what I like the most about this house, or which are my favourite works of art, and I always say it depends on the season and how I feel,” Shalini exclaimed.

Sanjay and Shalini Passi’s home is not just a residence; it is a reflection of their love for art and culture. It’s a space where creativity flourishes and elegance reigns supreme.
