DCP Ram Badan Singh told that there is Sagar Motors in Sector-5. On August 10, 2023, the accused went there with Rajdeb and his wife Komal Deb. He booked a Tata Safari car by paying Rs 11,000 online. After this, at the time of delivery, Rajdeb and his wife Koyal Deb drew a check from their Yes Bank account in the name of Sagar Motors. This check was for Rs 26 lakh. Even before the payment was made, he called the bank and got the check returned. By creating a fake message, payment of Rs 26 lakh was shown in the account of Sagar Motors. Also took delivery of Tata Safari car.

Turned out to be fake during investigation

Upon investigation by Sagar Motors, it was found that the check was given in favor of Sagar Motors. It has not been cleared. The message which was shown to the agency on his phone is also fake. Due to check clearing, a payment of Rs. was shown in the bank account of Tata Motors for some time. Taking advantage of this the delivery of the vehicle was achieved. The car was sold to a person named Lalit Kumar Dixit in Delhi for Rs 12 lakh. Bought a car like this in Delhi also

Rajdeb told during interrogation that he had similarly fraudulently purchased a car from Rana Motors Noida and Galaxy Toyota Najafgarh Road Motinagar Delhi, Grand Vitara worth around Rs 22 lakh and Toyota Hi Lux worth around Rs 30 lakh. There also the check was given fraudulently and the delivery was taken by showing the payment in the account through online banking.

Used to give assurance that RC would not be canceled He was told that when he does this the agency asks him for payment. So he assures orally and in writing to pay the money till he gets the RC. So that the agency does not complain to the RTO for canceling the RC. After the RC was issued, he would soon sell the vehicles and run away.
