The accused abducted a girl from a village in the local Kotwali area of Bhadohi on the pretext of marriage. In this regard, the girl’s family had informed the police on 31 October 2024. As soon as the information was received, the police immediately registered a case against the accused under section 87 of the Indian Penal Code.

Police recovered the girl
On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Dr. Meenakshi Katyayan, the local police soon recovered the girl. However, police teams were making continuous efforts to arrest the accused.
Rape incident revealed through medical examination
During investigation, on the basis of medical examination and statement of the girl, the fact came to light that the accused had raped the girl. On this the police invoked Section 64 of the Indian Penal Code and took strict action against the accused.
The local police team arrested the wanted accused Kais Ansari near Sarroi Canal Pulia. The accused has been arrested under relevant sections and sent to jail. SP Dr. Meenakshi Katyayan had given instructions to the police for women’s safety and quick prevention of crimes.
