Despite the ban on Chinese Manjha, it is being sold indiscriminately and people are also using it for kite flying. Kohana police received information about Chinese Manjha being used in kite flying. On which the police raided and arrested four accused.

Awadhesh Kumar of Kohna Inspector said that information was received that four people fly kites with Chinese Manjha in Kallupurwa village and have also stored a large quantity of Chinese Manjha. On this a police team was sent and a raid was conducted. Four people have been arrested there. Police has taken action against them.
Chinese Manjha is already banned
The National Green Tribunal (NGT) had banned Chinese Manja in 2017. After this it was said that action should be taken against those selling it under the Environment Protection Act. If action is taken against anyone under this Act, he can be sentenced to five years’ imprisonment or a fine of Rs 1 lakh.
