Gomati Book Festival concludes after 9 days of celebration of books and expression. During this period more than 200 stalls were set up. Books from more than 1 thousand publishers were present in it.

On the last day of Gomti Book Festival, there was hustle and bustle of book lovers on the river front till late evening. More than 10 thousand books have been sold in 9 days. On the last day of the festival, renowned athlete and Paralympic champion Simran Sharma had a candid and heartfelt interaction with the audience at Likhaganj and shared her support system in her journey to an Olympic medal.

He said “With the support and belief of family you can achieve anything.” In another session, Rajeev Gupta, author of The Good Indian Employee’s Guide to Surviving a Lala Company, shared valuable insights on how to succeed in tough modern workplaces and create life-work balance. He told that there should be communication of positivity between the superiors and the employees working under them in the workplaces.

Confluence of art and literature
Eminent personalities from the fields of art, science, literature and other fields graced the various sessions. The Mahotsav featured in-depth discussions on topics such as promoting library culture, the emerging role of traditional and new media, the relevance of Buddha’s teachings in addressing contemporary conflicts and the transformative power of translation in promoting Indian languages. Special attention was given to the importance of preserving the folk traditions and literature of India, emphasizing the need to pass on this rich cultural heritage to future generations while remaining rooted in our heritage.

The festival was attended by eminent personalities of literature, art and culture including writers Anand Neelkanthan, Rochelle Potkar, Ratul Chakraborty, Geeta Ramanujan, former Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, filmmaker Padma Shri Muzaffar Ali, Padma Shri Malini Awasthi, acting guru . Phonsok Ladakhi, Rajeev Gupta, Dr. Anil Rastogi, Himanshu Bajpayee, Indira Naik and many others were present.
