About Rs 40 lakh was stolen from the house of a person named Ashwani Kumar Rai, which included cash and gold jewellery. As soon as information about the incident was received, police arrived on the spot.

40 lakh rupees were stolen

Victim Ashwani Kumar Rai told that he had gone to Alka Palace to attend the tilak and ring ceremony of his daughter, where the program continued from 8 to 11.20 pm. When he reached home at 11:50 pm, he saw that the lock of his house was broken and the door of the room was also broken. The thieves stole Rs 13 lakh in cash, 11 rings, 6 ear tops, 2 big mangalsutra, 2 chains, 1 set of necklace, 2 bracelets, 4 pieces of bangles, anklets and a silver plate and glass kept in the house.

Police are investigating the matter

The victim immediately informed the police, but no clue has been found yet. Police have registered the case and started investigation. The victim’s family has demanded the police to trace the thief as soon as possible and return their belongings. Local people said that three-four thefts have already taken place in this colony, but no CCTV has been installed by the administration yet. The victim’s family has demanded installation of CCTV in the colony, so that such incidents do not happen in future. Lanka police station chief said that the matter is being investigated and the thieves will be detected soon.
