Vikrant Massey recalls selling his mobile phone during a Goa trip to settle expenses.

Every traveler has a story, and Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey’s trip to Goa with friends is one filled with adventure, friendship, and a touch of struggle. While Goa is often seen as the ultimate destination for fun and freedom, Vikrant’s experience wasn’t without its challenges. In a candid conversation, the actor revealed how his dream trip nearly derailed when he ran out of money, leading him to make a big sacrifice to ensure he and his friends could return home.

Speaking to Curly Tales, Vikrant shared, “I had just started earning and I took Rs 5000 with me. I went with my friends in a Volvo bus. It was the last night of the trip, and we used to split all expenses back then. Like, if we bought a cold drink for Rs 20, we’d split it Rs 10 each. At the time of checkout, we had all exhausted our money. We needed to pay the hotel bill. I had a mobile phone, so I sold it to settle the bill and buy return tickets to Mumbai for all my friends.”

This wasn’t the only time Vikrant’s life taught him about resilience and sacrifices. In a previous conversation with journalist Faye D’Souza, the actor opened up about the hardships his family faced. Despite belonging to an affluent family, a bitter feud forced his parents out of their home, leaving them to live in a godown for a year.

“They used to live in Juhu and were neighbours to the Kapoor family. Theirs was a classical Hindi film story: they had a family feud, were thrown out of their own home, lived in godowns with a baby for almost a year and then finally moved into Versova,” he shared.

Meanwhile, talking about Vikrant’s latest release The Sabarmati Report, the film has been receiving overwhelming responses from the audience. The film is based on the tragic Sabarmati train incident of February 27, 2002, in Gujarat.

After this, Vikrant Massey will reportedly be next seen in director Rajkumar Hirani’s debut web series. However, details related to the projects have been kept under wraps. Recent reports also suggest that the actor might also be seen playing a negative role in Farhan Akhtar’s highly anticipated Don 3, which features Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani in the lead roles.
