BHU doctors took out a rally from IMS and made the public aware about epilepsy prevention. Let us tell you that earlier there was a situation of superstition regarding epilepsy. BHU removed this misconception and made it known to the public that this disease can be treated.

People consider epilepsy as a ghost
Dr. VN Mishra said – Epilepsy is a disease whose treatment is possible. He said that there is a misconception in the society about epilepsy patients who say that a ghost has come. He said that BHU Neurology Department has been making people aware about this for the last 14 years. He said that the campaign is being run by BHU in a total of 17 districts surrounding Varanasi. He said that we have found that marriages of many boys and girls break due to epilepsy. He said that awareness is being created to remove all these misconceptions.
City doctors aware
Dr. VN Mishra said that we are starting an initiative that now all the doctors of Varanasi will be made aware about epilepsy detection. Its main center will be BHU. This is a campaign which will greatly benefit the doctors from city to village and will help a lot in identifying and treating this group. He said that epilepsy comes for 30 seconds and after that the man becomes unconscious.
