A case of threat to grab land and demolish the temple has come to light at Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple located in Kishni police station area of ​​Mainpuri. Mahant Rajendra Das alleged that Rajveer Singh, a sub-inspector posted in Uttar Pradesh Police, and his associates were occupying the temple land.

Attempt to take possession of donated land

According to Mahant, the temple land has been donated by Ramraj Singh. This land is located near Kishni-Etawah road. Mahant alleged that Inspector Rajveer Singh and his associates Ram Kishore and Ishu are trying to capture the land on the basis of hooliganism. On October 11, when the Mahant stopped him, the inspector abused him and threatened that he would use a bulldozer to demolish the temple.

Complaint to officials, but no hearing

Mahant said that he complained about the matter to SP Mainpuri, District Magistrate, and Kanpur Police Commissioner, but no action was taken. Kishni police station was also contacted several times, but every time they were ignored. Mahant has warned that if the district administration does not take any action, he will meet Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and present his complaint.

Mahant said- Why is the temple unsafe under Baba’s government?

Mahant said, “In one Baba’s government, one Baba is being threatened. This is worrying not only for the temple but for the entire saint community. If justice is not given, I will appeal to the Chief Minister for justice.”

Police station in-charge said – there is no such thing as dispute

Kishni police station in-charge Maharaj Singh Bhati dismissed the matter seriously. He said, “The land behind the temple is in the name of the sub-inspector, and he had come to measure it. There is no major dispute between Mahant and Inspector. There was no fight on the spot and they left the same day.”

Mahant said – action should be taken after fair investigation

Mahant has demanded a fair investigation from the District Magistrate and the police administration. He said that immediate action should be taken to protect the temple and stop illegal encroachment of the land.
