Taapsee Pannu stole the spotlight at an awards night in Mumbai on Monday, not just for her stunning black outfit but also for her playful banter with paparazzi. A video from the event has gone viral, showcasing Taapsee’s charming and witty interaction with the paps, leaving fans in splits.
As Taapsee exited the venue with a trophy in hand, a paparazzo greeted her warmly, saying, “Hi Taapsee kaise ho?” To this, the actress quipped, “Main bahut sundar hu. Tum bataao? Aaj kal kaise chal raha hai?” The light-hearted exchange continued with the pap responding, “Aapko miss kar rahe hain. Aap ek dum cutie ho.”
True to her fun-loving nature, Taapsee responded, “Aur 2-3 achi cheezein bolo. But caption kharab hi likhna, meri image achi mat karna, warna meri unique image kharab ho jaayegi.” The playful comment about her “unique image” has been widely appreciated by fans.
Known for her versatility and strong screen presence, Taapsee Pannu has carved a niche in the film industry with memorable performances in films like Pink, Thappad and Haseen Dilruba. Recently, Taapsee opened up about her remuneration for the 2023 film Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and co-starring Shah Rukh Khan.
In an interview with Indian Express, Taapsee candidly shared that she wasn’t paid much for Dunki. “Funnily, people think I do films like Judwaa or Dunki for money, that I get paid a lot. But no, it is the opposite—I get paid more for films that are headlined by me, like a Haseen Dilruba. Other films don’t really pay me much because they feel they are doing a favor by casting me in that kind of a film. They feel, ‘There is already a big hero, why do we need anybody else for that?’ I fight these notions on a daily basis,” she said in an interview with SCREEN.
