Dengue infection is spreading rapidly in Jaunpur district, due to which private hospitals are filled with patients. According to the report on Tuesday, 11 new dengue patients have been found, taking the total number of victims in the district to 547. Of these, maximum 282 patients are from the city area.

Every year during the rainy season, mosquito-borne diseases take the form of epidemics. Many patients are losing their lives due to lack of resources. Dengue mosquitoes are breeding rapidly due to water collecting at various places and dirty water from houses and shops is getting accumulated in broken drains, due to which the number of mosquitoes has increased. The Communicable Disease Campaign is also proving unsuccessful in solving this problem.
Confirmed in 547 patients so far Fogging and anti-larva spraying by the municipality has remained limited to papers only. District Malaria Officer Sunil Yadav said that there are 21 patients in Sipah Mohalla of Jaunpur Nagar, 18 in Chowkiyan, 12 in Chachakpur, 12 in Line Bazaar and 13 in Purani Bazaar. The number of dengue patients is highest in Karanjakala area, while the situation in the rest of the development blocks is said to be normal. A total of 547 patients have been confirmed so far.
