Samples were taken in the month of June The team had raided the National Medical Store located on Delhi Road on 26 June 2024. During the raid, samples of capsules used to control acidity were taken. On June 29, samples of multi vitamin tablets were taken from Standard Medical Store located at Nazirpura on Behat Road. The medicine records were also checked.
Medicines are made in Uttarakhand This medicine is manufactured in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand. Both the medicines did not meet the standards. In such a situation, the Drug Administration Department has issued a notice to the manufacturer and the firm. Instructed the company to recall these medicines from the place where they were supplied, so that further distribution can be avoided.
Medicines not meeting standards The medicines available at the medical stores in the district are not meeting the standards. This is being revealed in the investigation report from the laboratory. This is not the first time that drug samples have failed, even before this the samples have failed many times.
Drug Inspector Ashutosh Choubey said that the samples taken from both the medical stores have failed. After the sample failed, a notice has also been issued to the concerned firm. The supply of medicines in the markets has been banned.
