A thick dense fog engulfed Delhi and surrounding areas on Tuesday morning as the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) soared to 494, categorised as ‘Severe Plus’, prompting the educational institutions to switch to online mode.
The air quality plunged to the season’s worst on Tuesday morning as most of the air monitoring systems reached “alarmingly high” levels in the national capital area, touching the 500 mark.
