Five sectors of Gomti Nagar extension of Lucknow should be handed over to the Municipal Corporation. The Municipal Commissioner has written a letter to the LDA regarding this. Many areas of expansion are still with LDA.

Due to this, street lights, sewer, sanitation and road work are not done properly. At present, the work of public facilities related to Sectors 1, 4, 5, 6 and 7 of the city expansion is with LDA only.

Lucknow Jan Kalyan Mahasamiti President Uma Shankar Dubey had earlier written a letter regarding this. During this time, a request was made to form a joint committee of Municipal Corporation, LDA and Jan Kalyan Mahasamiti and take action. However, this work could not be completed then.

Municipal Commissioner has written a letter to LDA VC. Municipal Commissioner Inderjit Singh has written a letter on Monday requesting to hand over the sectors to the Municipal Corporation. So that development works like drinking water, sewer, street lighting, roads etc. can be done here. After this, house tax can also be levied properly.
