After the campaign for Katehari assembly by-election in Ambedkar Nagar is over, the police is doing intensive checking by placing barricades on the borders of the district. The police have made complete preparations to conduct the assembly by-election peacefully. For Katehari Assembly by-election

Before voting in Katehari, campaigning stopped at 5 pm on 18th November. After the campaign ended, the administration has increased vigil and started taking strict action. Police personnel have been deployed by erecting barriers on the border and interior parts of Katehri assembly constituency as well as on 23 different borders of the district.

All vehicles are being allowed to move forward only after investigation. The vehicle was especially checked for promotional material, liquor or cash etc. Superintendent of Police Dr Kaustubh said – after the campaign is over, barricades are being installed on the borders and vehicles coming into the district are being checked intensively. He said that necessary steps are being taken by the administration to ensure peaceful conduct of voting.
