In these cow shelters operated in the four districts of the division, the cows roaming here and there have been caught and brought to the cow shelters. The government is providing green fodder along with straw and other things to the cows of all these villages in the Gaushala. For a long time, Commissioner Devipatan Mandal was receiving complaints that the cows are left out of the cow shed at night by the cow shed workers.

In fact, it has come to the notice of the Commissioner that many Gaushala employees leave the cows outside the Gaushala to roam at night.

So that they do not have to provide fodder and straw, some villagers also milk their cows in the morning and evening and leave them to wander. Due to which cows are found roaming in villages and fields, it is necessary to conduct a confidential investigation into this matter. Regarding this, the Commissioner has instructed all the District Magistrates to investigate.

Nodal officers will provide information on 18 points Commissioner Devipatan Mandal has given instructions to provide point wise investigation report through the nodal officer. The Commissioner has given instructions to every nodal officer to provide cow shed wise inspection report on 18 points through the Additional Director of Animal Husbandry within three days.

Some points to check are as follows

  • Status of availability of clean drinking water for cattle.
  • Status of arrangements made for protection from rain.
  • Condition of proper disposal of dead cows.
  • Status of night watchman arrangements for security arrangements.
  • Status of regular health checkups etc.
  • Cleanliness status of the cowshed premises.
  • Situation of purchase of lime, bran, husk etc.
